A selection of the best short films shot and produced in the Top of the South region in the past year, as chosen by a panel of experts.
8 best short film entries from schools by local young filmmakers are showcased this year in our 2021-2022 “YTSF Reel” screenings scheduled for Saturday 04th June at the Suter Theatre.
Now in its seventh year, the Top of the South Film Festival continues to expand in quantity and quality. From comedy to drama, horror, music videos to documentary and experimental films, the Top of the South Film Festival celebrates the best locally produced films. The Top of the South Film Festival “YTSF Reels” are open only to submissions from Nelson, Motueka, Marlborough, Golden Bay, Westport and Kaikoura.
The “YTSF Reel” screening features the best of the best.
Join us for an exciting Red Carpet event with VIP arrivals, photos & interviews, and socialising from 11.30am-12.30pm preceding the screening on Saturday 4th June.
All festival proceeds are donated to the Top of the South Filmmakers Society which provides financial support to its members who pursue the art of filmmaking in our Top of the South region.
